For those who are more business-minded starting a lemonade or cookie stand are two great ways to make money quickly.

When I was 11 years old, I sold both lemonade and cookies on days when there were a lot of people walking around. On the busiest days, I earned over $200 after about 6 hours of work!

Crazy right?

Well, I’m not the only one who can do this, you can too. If you are willing to put in the work it is possible.

1. Sell Lemonade

Selling lemonade might sound like a job that does not earn a lot of money, but trust me, it does.

Especially if you pick a hot day when people are out and about. The weather can work in your favor. Nothing is more refreshing than a cold cup of lemonade in the summer heat.

I used to sell lemonade when I was 11 and made good money doing so. There were days when I was out selling lemonade for just a couple of hours and made 50+ dollars.

That’s about $25 an hour, far higher than any minimum wage job!

Of course, selling that much lemonade requires people to be walking by your stand typically on a hot day.

Nonetheless, selling lemonade is an excellent way to make money quickly as an 11 year old.

2. Walk Dogs

Do you like dogs? Well, you could make money walking them!

By walking other people’s dogs you can enjoy being around pets and make money at the same time.

One thing to keep in mind is to not start out walking the biggest dogs. Start with the little ones. As you get comfortable and use to walking dogs, walking different types of dogs will be much easier.

3. Yard Work

Do you have neighbors with a messy yard? Well, you could offer to clean it up for them!

Selling cookies is probably my personal favorite way to make money as an 11 year old. If there is one thing people like its cookies.

When I sold cookies as an 11 year old, there were people that kept on coming back for seconds or thirds.

I found selling one cookie for fifty cents or three for a dollar worked great. Of course, you can increase or decrease the price to whatever you want.

Additionally, selling cookies with lemonade worked extremely well. People bought the cookies and then realized that they needed something to drink. So they came back for lemonade.

This resulted in more sales and more money. Making $200+ in a day was not uncommon.

As an 11 year old, making that much money in just one day is crazy!

If I could do it, so can you. Of course, make sure to set up your stand where there is a lot of foot traffic. The more people that see what your selling, the better.

5. Pet Sit

Pet sitting for neighbors has always been a popular way to make money as a preteen.

It takes a certain level of responsibility but can be an overall pretty easy job to do.

I mean who doesn’t like hanging out with pets? On top of that getting paid to hang out with pets!

Typically, pet sitting involves small tasks such as refilling the pet’s water or food from time to time.

You can start by asking around to see if any of your neighbors need a pet sitter when they go on vacation.

6. Babysit

Babysitting is another very popular job for 11 year old’s. If you have any younger siblings yourself, you may already have experience babysitting.

Babysitters on average make $17 an hour. Of course, this amount may change based on your location. But in general, babysitting can be a good way to make money as a preteen.
