41% of Companies to Cut Jobs by 2030 due to AI

A CNN report highlights that 41% of global companies plan to reduce their workforce by 2030 as AI technology advances.

This global survey conducted across various industries reveals a shift towards automation and AI which could lead to substantial job displacement. The sectors most affected reportedly include manufacturing finance and customer service where AI can perform tasks traditionally done by humans.

The study suggests that while AI promises efficiency and cost reduction the human cost in terms of employment is considerable. Companies are investing in AI to streamline operations but this comes with the trade-off of replacing human labor with machines.

Critics argue that this trend could exacerbate income inequality and unemployment unless there are parallel efforts to retrain the workforce for new roles that AI cannot easily perform.
