Marco Rubio: “We’re Going to Take Their Visa Away”
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has reaffirmed that visas are a privilege, not a right, and can be revoked if a visitor’s presence or activities threaten national security or foreign policy interests. He emphasized that no one is entitled to a visa and that the government will act decisively against those working against U.S. interests.
In his remarks, Rubio stated, “If I identify a visitor in our country whose presence poses a threat to our foreign policy and national security, we’re going to take their visa away.” He further explained, “If you enter our country as a visitor and undertake activities against the national interests of the United States, we will take away your visa.” Rubio noted that he has repeated this position multiple times, underscoring the consistent application of established U.S. policy.
